Happy Valley Hebden Bridge Fine Art Print
Home to Sgt Catherine Cawood, Clare Cartwright and Neil Ackroyd, Hebden Bridge is central to Sally Wainwright's gripping series, Happy Valley. This image of Hebden Bridge in autumn with a double rainbow was taken at 2pm on 31st October 2020. Nestled in the steep-sided Upper Calder Valley with Todmorden to the west and Halifax to the east, Hebden Bridge was a 19th-century mill town and was famous for the weaving of fustian – corduroy and moleskin – which were made into trousers, up to 20,00 pairs a week, and was known as Trouser Town. These days the town is a hub of creativity with many artists working here and the streets lined with independent shops.

This a fine art Giclée print, size 50 x 50cm (20 x 20 inches) and is ready for framing. It has a 5cm white border. The text is the official Hebden Bridge font designed by Mike Barrett of frogsdesign in Hebden Bridge and is based on the17th century lettering on the stone packhorse bridge from which the town gets its name.
